Instructions
  1. Remove fava beans from pods and RINSE thoroughly.
  2. Fava (Broad beans in pods).
  3. Brown onion with olive oil in 2 quart sauce pan. Add Fava and just enough water to cover beans.
  4. Cook slowly adding salt and pepper to taste and until beans are tender (Usually 20 minutes on low).
  5. Cooked beans with liquid are serve hot as a side dish and eaten with fresh crusty Italian bread.
  6. Fresh Fava Sicilian Style.
